The five elements from Chinese astrology and their corresponding actions…

Chinese people say that the Universe is made up of five elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. Because their vision is by excellence a dynamic one, in which the energy is constantly moving, I asked myself, what verb(s) describe each of these five elements. Somehow, as there are certain verbs associated with each sign in the western astrology, the same should be the case with the Chinese astrology.

So, look what showed up to me (the creative cycle is given):

Metal: I cut, I prick, I subside, I melt…

Water: I flow, I clean, I receive, I mirror, I keep silent, I get cold, I stretch, I wave…

Wood:  I grow, I penetrate, I expand, I flower, I fade, I give fragrance, I get rotten, I get dryed up, I burn out…

Fire: I shine, I get hot, I give warmth (I heat up), I consume, I transform!, I tremble, I rise up (get high)…

Earth: I stay, I support…

I’d say that the five elements express also five desires, five needs. And then need that transcends them all is the need for harmony.
So, if you want to know what element is dominant in someone’s destiny, just see what action is the easiest for him to perform. :)
